J. Scott Davison

Scott Davison was appointed president of OneAmerica Financial Partners in 2013, CEO in 2014, and chair in 2017. He began his 36-year career in the insurance industry at UNUM, where he served in a variety of financial roles, including chief financial officer of UNUM‘s Duncanson & Holt reinsurance subsidiary. In 2000, Davison joined OneAmerica as vice president of strategic planning and corporate development. In 2004, he was appointed CFO. IBJ named him a CFO of the Year in 2008.

Favorite part of being a leader: “Growing people is incredibly rewarding. The only way to achieve results as a leader—and to do so repeatedly over the course of a career—is to inspire others to reach their full potential, meeting them where they are and coaching them along the way.”

Advice for young people: “Make it a priority to be accountable to others and to yourself. And learn to think of accountability as a big book of knowledge, with every chapter representing a valuable lesson learned either through achievement or failure. Both are important and both can help guide you as you progress.”

Craig Dwight

Craig Dwight has served as CEO of Horizon Bank for 24 years. He is responsible for strategy, setting the pace, allocations of capital and resources, and the tone at the top of the organization as it relates to ethics, values, transparency and community service. Recently, he has been focused on organizing a community development corporation and extending the company‘s geographic footprint in Indiana and Michigan.

David M. Findlay

David Findlay is president and CEO of Warsaw-based Lake City Bank and Lakeland Financial Corp. He joined the bank in 2000 as executive vice president of administration and chief financial officer. In 2010, he was promoted to president and chief financial officer and was named president and CEO in 2014. Findlay currently serves as chairman of OrthoWorx and AcceLINX. He also serves on the boards of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, the Orthopedic Capital Foundation, the Indiana Bankers Association, the IBA Group Insurance Trust, Trine University, the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership and the Community Foundation of Elkhart County.

Advice for young people: “Seek influential mentors at every step and ensure that you leverage their impact on your career.”

Lessons learned: “Have an intense curiosity about everything. Never think you know all the answers and never stop learning.”

Favorite part of being a leader: “Having an active role in the Indiana communities that Lake City Bank serves.”

Juan Gonzalez

Juan Gonzalez is Cleveland-based KeyBank‘s market president for central Indiana and its business banking sales leader in the state. With more than 20 years of experience in the banking and financial industry, Gonzalez partners closely with KeyBank‘s corporate responsibility group to develop and implement a community lending and investment strategy that will enable the bank to meet its corporate and social responsibilities. He is chair of the Indiana Latino Scholarship Fund and serves on the boards of the Indy Chamber, the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee, the Gennesaret Free Clinic, the 500 Festival, the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership and Visit Indy.

Advice for young people: “Never stop dreaming and always reach out for help. Like some of my teachers used to tell us all of the time: There is never a bad question, and asking for help is not a negative. It is a positive.”

Favorite part of being a leader: The ability to support, help, mentor and develop team members and others.

Tracy Graham

Tracy Graham is founder and managing principal of Graham Allen Partners, a private equity firm that specializes in investing in and building technology and technology-enabled companies. He is currently focused on using analytics and artificial intelligence to help companies evolve through digital transformation. Graham started his first company, Internet Services Management Group, immediately after college with an $80,000 investment and built it into the second-largest privately held internet service provider in the country through the acquisition and integration of 23 companies. He currently serves on the boards of the University of Notre Dame, 1st Source Bank, Beacon Health System, Davenport University, and the Regional Development Authority of Northern Indiana‘s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

Mark Hill

Mark Hill is one of central Indiana‘s leading mentors to technology firms. His advice comes from deep experience. In 1983, he and his wife, Karen, co-founded Baker Hill, which makes loan-origination and portfolio-management software for the financial services market. They sold the Carmel company in 2005 after it became one of the region‘s largest tech companies. They went on to start Collina Ventures, a local private investment firm that has made early investments in numerous technology startups, including Aprimo, Talx and Angel Learning. Mark Hill also co-founded Bluelock, which specializes in disaster recovery as a service, and was CEO of Lumavate, which offers a no-code platform that allows users to quickly and easily build smartphone apps.

Favorite part of being a leader: “People surprise you with the talent they have when you let them shine. It is rewarding to watch it happen.”

Advice for young people: “It is not about the job; it is about the people that surround you. Find great people who care and work your butt off … good things will happen.”

Kelli N. Jones

Kelli Jones is co-founder and general partner of Sixty8 Capital, a seed-stage venture firm supporting Black and Hispanic entrepreneurs that last year closed on a $20 million fund. Sixty8 Capital built on work Jones started five years ago with the Be Nimble Foundation, which aims to create a more diverse tech ecosystem in Indiana. The foundation has trained more than 40 diverse founders and invested nearly $1 million in capital and startup resources. Before launching Sixty8 Capital, Jones was program manager for Techstars Heritage Group Accelerator and director of people, culture and brand for Givelify.

Lucia J. Mar

Lucia Mar is a senior vice president and market executive for global commercial banking at Charlotte, North Carolina-based Bank of America, leading the bank‘s efforts in expanding its industry-leading market share among public and private companies with $50 million to $2 billion in annual revenue in Indiana. Mar serves on many not-for-profit boards, including Indy Chamber, Integrating Women Leaders and Girl Scouts of Central Indiana. As a mentor, she helps equip women and girls with the tools they need to advance their careers and achieve economic self-sufficiency.

Jim Marcuccilli

Jim Marcuccilli joined STAR Financial Bank in 1973 and served as president and CEO starting in 1998. He was named chairman and CEO in 2017. Marcuccilli is lead independent director on the board of Steel Dynamics Inc. and a founding member of the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership. He is also a member of the Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana Board, the University of Notre Dame Science Advisory Board, Indiana Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee, Junior Achievement Foundation Board, Indiana University Health Foundation Board and Indiana University Health Fort Wayne Board.

Something surprising: “Growing up, we worked in a variety of family businesses, from banking to stone quarries to amusement parks. I remember selling cotton candy and novelties when I was 9 years old. Then in high school, I worked at the bank as a teller and in a stone quarry in college.”

Advice for young people: “Don‘t be afraid to make mistakes. But if you do, admit to them and fully understand why you made the mistakes.”

Kristin M. Marcuccilli

Kristin Marcuccilli is president of STAR Financial Group, the parent company of STAR Financial Bank. She oversees technology and digital strategy, administration and strategic partnerships. She joined the bank in 2008 and has served in a variety of roles, including chief operating officer. Marcuccilli is on the board of the Indiana Economic Development Corp., the Indiana Technology & Innovation Association, Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, Fort Wayne Children‘s Zoo, Indiana Chamber of Commerce and the University of Notre Dame‘s IDEA Center.

Something surprising: “I was the first female to play football in Grant County. I was the starting placekicker for two seasons at Marion High School … and tied the all-time record for most extra points scored in a single game (and that game was played in the RCA Dome!).”
