These men and women are making a difference locally, regionally and across the state. The profiles here detail their accomplishments but also give you a peek into their personalities, their leadership styles and more.

The Indiana 250 was developed and published by IBJ Media, the parent company of three news brands—Indianapolis Business Journal, Inside INdiana Business and Indiana Lawyer, whose news leaders and staffs contributed to the selections.
We accepted nominations for inclusion on the list, researched executives and companies, and interviewed state, industry and community leaders about who should be included. But in the end, the selections were made entirely by IBJ Media editors and staff, meaning it is subjective and not comprehensive. We’d love to hear about who you think we missed. ABOUT THE COVER
We shot this year’s cover and the photos on our table-of-contents pages at the beautiful Laurel Hall, on the northeast side of Indianapolis. Built in 1916 by Stoughton J. Fletcher, nephew of state lawmaker Calvin Fletcher, the estate at 5395 Emerson Way is now an event venue and home of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity headquarters and foundation office. Our cover photo was taken in the mansion’s solarium, with table-of-contents photos taken in various spaces in and around the historic building.
